What Do You Need?

Lemon and Milk

At night, cut one slice of lemon and add it to ½ cup of whole milk. Allow the lemon to sit in the milk for around 15 minutes and then remove the lemon. Dip a clean wash cloth into the mixture and pat the mixture onto the face. Allow it to dry and go to bed. Rinse it off in the morning.

Turmeric, Lemon Juice and Milk

Mix one teaspoon of turmeric with a few drops of lemon juice and a teaspoon of milk. Spread the mixture evenly over the face and neck. Allow it to dry completely and then rinse it off with warm water. Repeat about once or twice a week for the best results and consistent lightening.

Oatmeal, Turmeric and Lemon Juice

Grind up a cup or two of oatmeal until it turns into a powder for a reserve of powdered oatmeal. Measure one teaspoon of powdered oatmeal and add it to a bowl or cup. Add a pinch of turmeric to the powder and then a few drops of lemon juice. Mix together and add more lemon juice if needed to make a thick paste. Apply the paste to the skin and allow it to dry. Rinse it off with warm water.

Oatmeal and Tomato Juice

Spread the paste evenly over the face, neck or any are of the skin and allow it to sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water. Use one to three times daily as preferred. The mixture does not dry out the skin and is not harsh, so it does not hurt to use it every day.

Just Lemon Juice

Apply lemon juice directly to the skin. Allow it to sit for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse. Repeat this once in a week. Lemon juice is harsh and will hurt any open sores, cuts or wounds, but it has natural lightening properties. Since it dries out the skin, do not use lemon juice directly more than once a week.

Yogurt and Honey

Put ½ cup of plain yogurt in a bowl. Add one teaspoon of honey to the bowl and mix well. Put the yogurt and honey mixture on the skin and allow it to sit for 30 minutes. Rinse the mixture off with cool water and pat the skin dry. Repeat every day until the skin starts fading. The yogurt and honey mixture is gentle on skin, so it is appropriate for sensitive skin types.

Aloe Vera Gel

Apply aloe vera gel directly to the skin. Allow it to dry and do not rinse it off. Aloe vera gel not only promotes the growth of skin cells and removes dead skin, but it lightens skin and soothes dry, cracked, sunburned or otherwise painful skin. Use the aloe vera gel directly from a live plant.
